How to Play Sonic Advance
Quick start
Press START, choose GAME START and select a character. Sonic is the clearest first choice for Neo Green Hill Zone Act 1. Collect at least one ring so a hit from an enemy or spike does not immediately cost a life, pass point markers for restarts, and reach the goal plate within ten minutes. Hold Down+A and release for a Spin Dash when you need speed for a slope or loop.
Controls
Menus: D-pad selects, A confirms, B cancels. Play: Left/Right moves, Up looks up, Down crouches or rolls while moving, A jumps and jump-attacks, B performs the character’s special attack, and START pauses. Sonic uses Down+A then release for a Spin Dash, presses A again in midair for a wider attack, and uses R on rails to grind. Tails taps A in midair to fly, Knuckles holds A after a second press to glide, and Amy attacks with her hammer using B.
