Select New Game and begin on Tatooine. Leave Anakin's ship for Mos Espa, defeat the womp rats along the route and speak to the townspeople before travelling west through Xelric Draw into the womp-rat caves. Clear the cave, evade the bounty hunter outside, then return to Mos Espa and talk to Watto; he directs the next investigation towards the moisture farms and the captured farmers in the Dune Sea. Block blaster fire with B, use directional A attacks for different situations and wait in a safe area when health or Force energy needs to recover.

Move Anakin with the Control Pad. A swings the lightsaber; combine A with Up for a jumping attack, Right for a double hit, Left for a spinning attack, or Down for a slice. B blocks and can return blaster bolts. R cycles Force powers and L uses the selected power. SELECT sheathes or draws the lightsaber; press SELECT twice for the map. START pauses, whilst two quick presses of START display the comlink. Later powers include Speed, Jump, Push, Hide and Meditate.
