Choose New Game and begin on Tatooine. Leave Anakin's ship for Mos Espa, defeat the womp rats on the road, and speak with the townspeople before heading west through Xelric Draw into the womp-rat caves. After clearing the cave and surviving the bounty hunter outside, return to Mos Espa and speak with Watto; the next objective sends you toward the moisture farms and the captured farmers in the Dune Sea. Use B to block blaster fire, vary A attacks with a direction, and pause in a safe spot when health or Force energy needs time to recover.

Use the D-pad to move Anakin. A attacks with the lightsaber; combine A with Up for a jump attack, Right for a double hit, Left for a spinning attack, or Down for a slice. B blocks and can reflect blaster fire. R cycles Force powers and L activates the selected power. SELECT sheathes or draws the lightsaber; press SELECT twice to display the map. START pauses; press START twice quickly to display the comlink. Later Force powers include Speed, Jump, Push, Hide and Meditate.
