Begin a new campaign from the main menu and choose a difficulty. Mission 1 places you in the Huey helicopter: move out from your base, clear enemy soldiers, vehicles and bunkers with the gun and limited missiles, and protect the friendly ground force as it advances. Use the helicopter's load/unload action to carry soldiers past dangerous stretches, then put them down near enemy bunkers so they can capture them. Captured bunkers generate credits that automatically fund reinforcements and repair or refill your aircraft. Return toward your base when low on health or ammunition rather than losing the sortie; the campaign later alternates the Huey with a faster propeller fighter.

Menus: Control Pad moves the selection and A confirms; choose the difficulty before the campaign. In mission briefings, R displays the Help screen. Flight: use the Control Pad to steer the active aircraft and Start to pause. The Huey control screen assigns A to the machine gun or to load a soldier when positioned for pickup, B to fire a missile or unload a carried soldier, and R to drop a paratrooper when available. Fighter missions also use A and B for the aircraft's two attacks, but the inspected GBA sources do not label an additional shoulder-button action, so no fighter shoulder mapping is guessed.
