How to Play Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3
Quick start
From the title screen, choose Super Mario Bros. 3, select a file, then choose Mario or Mario & Luigi. On the World 1 map, move to 1-1 and press A to enter; reach the goal panel at the end of the course. Hold B or R while moving to dash, and once Raccoon Mario's P-Meter is full, tap A repeatedly to take off. Use L on the map to open the item window before a difficult stage.
Controls
Menus: D-Pad selects, A confirms, B cancels, and Start begins or pauses. Courses: D-Pad moves, Up enters doors or upward pipes, Down crouches, slides on slopes or enters downward pipes; A jumps and swims; B dashes, picks up/throws objects, swings a Raccoon/Tanooki tail or throws fireballs; R duplicates B. Hold B/R to fill the P-Meter, then tap A repeatedly to fly as Raccoon/Tanooki Mario; Down+B becomes a Tanooki statue. Map: D-Pad moves between spaces, A enters a course or uses the selected item, L opens/closes the item window, and Select opens Replay Data.
