How to Play Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation

Quick start

Choose New Game at the title screen, then select Ryusei's route or Kyosuke's route. Ryusei Scenario 1 puts Elzam's Gespenst Mk. II-R against five Megillots: destroy them all, or finish within four turns for the Battle Mastery. Use Accelerate to reach the southern enemy and position Elzam to remove units with counterattacks. Kyosuke Scenario 1 uses the Wild Raptor against two tanks and two F-32 fighters; destroy all four, with a two-turn Mastery. Cast Accelerate and Concentrate, use missiles against the tanks and the beam shot against the aircraft. Before moving, read the map's victory, defeat and Mastery conditions and inspect hit rates and counterweapons.

Controls

The Control Pad navigates menus and moves the map cursor. A confirms; over an allied unit it opens Move, Attack, Spirit, Wait and other commands. B cancels, shows brief unit data over a unit, or terrain data over an empty square; hold B with the Control Pad for fast map scrolling. L/R cycles through allied units and changes pages or sorting on data screens. START opens Quick Save, while SELECT shows the full map. R+A advances dialogue quickly. Select a weapon with A, check the forecasted hit and damage values, then confirm the action.
