Press START on the title screen, select "New Game", choose the main character (hero/heroine), and enter their names. In the hero section, talk to Willy, Amanda, the slave by the door, and Amanda twice in the prison of Glance Castle, then talk to the slave again in that order, then defeat the jackal in the arena with the A button attack and exit north. After being rescued by Nikita, defeat Chobin Hood in the south, find a book in the grassland, and head to Topple. The heroine arc starts at the waterfall hut, equip the Wisp and save at the silver statue, then go east → south → west to Topple, exit from the south exit and look for the boy's book. The silver statue allows you to save, and the gold statue allows you to save and fully recover.

Cross button: Movement, cursor operation, ring menu rotation/stage switching. A: Attack, Conversation, Examine, Treasure Chest, Decision. After attacking, press A for a combo, press and release A until it's charged, and release for a special move. B: Dash while pressed, cancel/return in menu. L: After learning, jump, sit with L+A and gradually recover MP. R: Equipped spirit magic. SELECT: Switch the operating character during battle, and display an explanation in the menu. START: Open the ring menu and press again while in the ring to return to the game. In the ring during battle, press L to move directly to the weapon, and press R to move directly to the spirit ring.
