How to Play The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age
Quick start
Choose New Game, select the Good campaign and begin the Basic Tutorial with Isildur’s force. Follow each on-screen instruction to select a unit, move it into range and attack; the short tutorial is designed to finish in two turns. Check the mission objectives and point requirements with START before each later battle, and protect heroes while using ordinary units to screen and capture positions.
Controls
D-pad scrolls the battlefield and navigates menus. A selects a unit or option, focuses a unit and begins movement or an attack; B cancels. L and R jump between valid hero-placement locations. SELECT ends the current turn and advances the battle phase. START opens mission objectives, unit information, glossary, options and quit commands.
