Press START on the title screen and select Play Now for the guided challenge route. The opening Par 5 Challenge asks Tiger to complete holes 2, 9, 11 and 16 in fewer than 20 strokes. Before the first drive, press B to study the hole in Targeting Mode, shift the target clear of water and bunkers, then return to the overhead view. Press A three times for each swing: begin the meter, stop near the top to set power, then stop close to the accuracy line at the bottom. Aim for the centre of the fairway before chasing maximum distance; a careful mid-iron lay-up protects the score on a long par five. Choose Practice > Driving Range if you want to learn the meter without scoring, or Games > PGA Tour for the tournament route.

Use the D-Pad to navigate menus; A confirms and B cancels. During a shot, L/R chooses the previous or next club, SELECT cycles 100%, 50% and 25% power, and START opens the Resume/Exit menu. In Overhead Mode, Up/Down changes between forward, middle and back stance; press A once to start the power meter, again to set power and a third time to set accuracy and hit the ball. B changes between Overhead and Targeting modes. In Targeting Mode, Left/Right moves the landing target while Up/Down scrolls the course view; A returns to Overhead Mode.
