How to Play TMNT

Quick start

Press START on the title screen, choose Play, select an empty one of the three save slots, enter a name and set the difficulty; the game saves automatically after every act. Act 1 begins with Raphael, six lives, 64 HP and no helper. Smash the bus stop at once to collect the metal bar, head right and clear each Purple Dragon group, saving the bar for sturdier opponents. Deal with the red weapon-throwing thug first, then descend to the Underground and remain on the platform while a train passes. Your opening goal is to cross the western district, railway and shopping zone before beating Hun at the roadblock. Use short B combinations without being surrounded, and launch troublesome enemies with Up+B so they can be hit again in the air.

Controls

Use the D-Pad to move; tap a direction twice to roll. A jumps and also enters a door or speaks when the A prompt appears. B attacks, collects an extra weapon, grabs an eligible fallen enemy and throws it with another press; B,B,B,B is the normal combination, Up+B is an uppercut, Down+B a forward kick, Back+B a rear kick, and A+B a briefly invulnerable sweep. Press B while descending in a jump for a flying kick, or A in the air for the bouncing knee. L or R calls the selected helper once the Cooperative gauge shows GO; after purchasing the Brotherhood Medallion, L+R performs the single-use Super Summon outside boss fights. START pauses; SELECT has no function. In menus, use the D-Pad, confirm with A and cancel with B.
