How to Play TMNT

Quick start

Press START on the title screen, choose Play, select an empty one of the three save slots, enter a name and choose a difficulty; progress saves automatically after each act. Act 1 starts with Raphael, six lives, 64 HP and no helper. Break the bus stop immediately to take the metal bar, move right and clear each group of Purple Dragon thugs, using the bar on the first tougher enemies. Prioritize the red thug who throws weapons, then go down the stairs to the subway; wait on the platform whenever a train is due. The first objective is to cross the western district, subway and shopping area, then defeat Hun at the roadblock. Keep short B combos going without letting enemies surround Raphael, and use Up+B to launch a dangerous target for a follow-up juggle.

Controls

Use the D-Pad to move; tap a direction twice to roll. A jumps and also enters doors or talks when the A prompt appears. B attacks, picks up an extra weapon, grabs a downed eligible enemy and throws it with a second press; B,B,B,B is the basic combo, Up+B is an uppercut, Down+B a forward kick, Back+B a rear kick, and A+B a briefly invulnerable sweep. Press B while descending from a jump for a flying kick, or A in the air for the bouncing knee. L or R calls the chosen helper when the Cooperative gauge displays GO; after buying the Brotherhood Medallion, L+R performs the one-use Super Summon outside boss fights. START pauses; SELECT has no function. In menus, the D-Pad moves the cursor, A confirms and B cancels.
