At the Main Menu, choose an empty SLOT 1-4 marked NEW GAME, select a difficulty, and start Act 1, Canadian Wilderness: Revenge Awakening. Easy supplies more lives and continues and makes enemies less durable; Normal is the standard setting. Follow Xavier's tutorial messages and work mostly to the right over the rope bridges. At the final mercenary fight, keep the group to one side and avoid being boxed in; enemies can be knocked into the pit. Leave the module on the first house roof until Wall Cling has been acquired.

Menus: move with the D-Pad, select with A, cancel with B, and use START to select or resume; on Level Select, highlight an Act with Up/Down and press B to play it. In play, Left/Right walks, Down crouches, and holding Up or Down for two seconds looks above or below. A jumps and L sheathes or unsheathes the claws. B punches with claws sheathed and slashes with claws out; moving, jumping or crouching while pressing B changes the attack, and three presses form a combo. With claws sheathed, Up+B is a stealth attack against an unaware humanoid. R operates acquired abilities: R+Left/Right dashes, A during a dash makes a running jump, B makes a dash attack, and R while crouching slides. Wall and ceiling moves need the matching power-up and exposed claws. START pauses; SELECT is unused.
