How to Play Super Spy Hunter
Quick start
In the first mission, keep firing with B and destroy weapon carriers only when their letter shows the upgrade you need. Prioritize P for shot power, R for fire rate and L when damaged. A steers the cannon in manual mode, but once a C pickup enables automatic control you can focus on dodging. Save a blue bomb or orbiting cannon for dense hazards and activate it with A. Slow down before sharp bends instead of staying at the top edge of the screen.
Controls
The D-pad moves the vehicle in all directions. START begins and pauses; SELECT is unused. In car stages, B shoots and A aims the cannon in manual mode or activates the stored special weapon. In boat stages, B shoots and A controls the cannon manually. In plane stages, B shoots and A has no function. Red upgrades apply automatically; blue specials are activated with A in car sections.
Super Spy Hunter — About this game
The European Super Spy Hunter cartridge is the regional version of Sunsoft's Battle Formula, a vertically scrolling vehicular shooter with six missions. The combat car moves freely around twisting roads, destroys hostile vehicles and gun emplacements, and collects changing letter capsules from red and blue weapon carriers. Later sections transform the action into boat and aircraft combat, each with a slightly different weapon layout. Power, rapid fire, life extensions and cannon control build the vehicle, while one stored blue special can clear danger or attack behind and beside it.
