How to Play Bomberman II
Quick start
Check for a corner outside the blast cross before placing a bomb with A. Clear a modest space, collect bomb and flame upgrades, and then block enemy routes. After all enemies are gone, uncover the exit carefully. Once the remote-control pickup is active, press B only when a target has entered range. In multiplayer, avoid sealing both ends of your own corridor and treat a short, controlled flame as a useful defensive choice.
Controls
D-pad moves Bomberman and menu cursors. A drops a bomb. B activates the remote detonator after that item is collected in Normal mode. START starts, pauses and unpauses. These base controls apply to all three modes, although remote detonation is Normal-only. Three-player Battle uses the NES Four Score and three controllers on original equipment.
Bomberman II — About this game
Bomberman II for US NES follows White Bomberman after Black Bomberman frames him for a bank robbery. The solo Normal mode spans six areas and 48 stages, each requiring every enemy to be destroyed and an exit hidden beneath a soft block to be uncovered. Pickups improve bomb capacity, blast reach and speed or add remote detonation. VS lets two players compete directly, while Battle supports three simultaneous players through a Four Score and third controller on original hardware.
