How to Play Wizards & Warriors
Quick start
Jump with A, attack with B and search vertically for keys and treasure. Gather colored keys as soon as possible and meet the displayed red-gem requirement before hunting the boss door. Use SELECT for acquired magic and Up to levitate after obtaining its item. Hold B longer when throwing a dagger or axe for extra distance. After energy runs out, press a button within five seconds to retain inventory and retry.
Controls
D-pad Left/Right moves Kuros and Down crouches. A jumps; A plus a direction creates a diagonal jump, and holding A adds height. B swings the sword or throws the equipped weapon, with hold duration affecting thrown range. SELECT activates magic or items. Up levitates when its item is owned. START pauses the game.
Wizards & Warriors — About this game
Wizards & Warriors is Rare's US NES fantasy action-platformer. Knight Kuros explores vertical, branching environments packed with undead creatures, hidden treasure and locked routes. Each colored door needs its matching key, while a required total of red gems grants access to the stage boss. Daggers, axes, shields, potions, spells and a levitation item alter how hazards and distant platforms are approached. If Kuros loses all energy, responding to the restart prompt within five seconds preserves his collected possessions for another attempt at the level.
