How to Play Dragon Power
Quick start
Move with the D-pad, jump with A and attack with B. Search for food often because power drains with time as well as damage. After gaining Wind Wave, collect shell marks, hold B until Goku enters the charging pose, then press A without releasing B. In side-view fights, crouch and press B for a low punch or press B during a jump to kick. SELECT chooses CONTINUE from the title after a game over.
Controls
D-pad moves Goku; Down crouches in side-view fights. A jumps. B punches or uses the Magic Pole. Wind Wave: hold B until the charging pose, keep holding B and press A. B during a jump kicks; Down+B punches low. SELECT switches the title screen to CONTINUE. START begins or pauses play.
Dragon Power — About this game
Dragon Power is the US NES localization of Dragon Ball: Shenlong no Nazo, with character names, dialogue and several graphics altered to remove most licensed Dragon Ball references. Goku and Nora search for seven crystal balls through overhead exploration, travel scenes, secret areas and side-view fights. Goku punches or uses the Magic Pole, gathers food to counter a continuously draining power gauge, and later learns the projectile called Wind Wave in the manual. Stages 1 through 6 form the first quest, while stages 7 through 10 introduce the Mysterious Army and a second set of crystal balls.
