How to Play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Quick start
Move across the first overhead map and enter a marked building. Inside, press A to jump and B to attack; holding A longer produces a higher jump. Donatello's long reach makes him the safest opening choice, but press START and switch turtles before anyone's health is emptied. SELECT changes between a turtle's signature weapon and a collected secondary weapon. Search side rooms for pizza rather than pushing forward at low health. During the dam mission, tap A to swim and touch every bomb before time expires while giving electric barriers and seaweed a wide berth.
Controls
D-pad: move in four directions on maps, move and duck in side-view areas, or steer underwater. A: jump, with height based on how long it is held; tap repeatedly to swim. B: attack with the active weapon. A+B: jumping attack. START: pause and open the information screen to switch turtles. SELECT: toggle the turtle's regular and collected weapon. Party Wagon: A fires the Vulcan cannon, B launches missiles, SELECT exits the vehicle.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles — About this game
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is an action adventure that gives Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello separate health bars and distinct weapon reach. Overhead streets connect buildings and sewers, while entering them shifts play to side-view platforming and combat. The team must rescue April and Splinter, disarm bombs beneath the Hudson River dam, drive the Party Wagon, and eventually locate the Technodrome across six areas. Because a defeated turtle is lost until rescued, changing characters before health reaches zero is central to survival. Pizzas restore energy, ropes bridge selected gaps, and secondary weapons add ranged options, but careful use of Donatello's long bo staff and knowledge of each building route matter most.
