How to Play Tecmo World Wrestling
Quick start
Choose 1 PLAYER with Select and press Start. Use A or B to browse profiles, move the star to your wrestler's name with Left/Right, and confirm with Start. Take the initial training session and tap A quickly after the whistle to fill PUSH and increase power. Start each bout with A kicks and B punches, then move close enough to clinch and add a direction for stronger throws. Avoid running or diving blindly at a standing rival, since those attacks are easily countered. When the opponent is weakened and down, stand beside him and press B to pin; mash A or B if you are the one being covered.
Controls
D-pad moves in eight directions; double-tap Left/Right to run. A is kick when separated, knee lift in a clinch, running drop kick, opponent lift, or diving body attack from the top rope. B is punch, clinch headlock, running clothesline, flying knee drop, or pin beside a downed rival. In a clinch, Up+A performs a brain buster, Down+A a pile driver, Left/Right+A a back drop, and Up+B a body slam. Mash A or B to escape a pin. Select sets one or two players; Start confirms and pauses a match.
Tecmo World Wrestling — About this game
Tecmo World Wrestling sends one of ten fictional international wrestlers through a demanding sequence of one-on-one matches for the TWW crown. Before the opening bout and after a loss, optional muscle training lets rapid A-button presses add power. Inside the ring, the same two action buttons produce different strikes, grapples, running attacks, corner dives, pins, and wrestler-specific techniques according to position and direction. Each match has a seven-minute limit, with defeat also possible through a three-count or disqualification. Tom Talker's text commentary fills the lower panel, and powerful moves against a weakened opponent receive a close-up slow-motion presentation. A two-player mode offers a single head-to-head match outside the solo progression.
