How to Play Knight Rider
Quick start
For a driving introduction, select DRIVE with Select and confirm with Start. Press Start at the map, then again after Machine Check to begin driving. Use Up to accelerate and Down before bends. For MISSION, proceed through the briefing to Machine Check, choose an upgrade with Select and A, and press Start to depart. Practice staying clear of roadside obstacles before relying on the jump.
Controls
Up accelerates; Down brakes; Left and Right steer. A fires the selected weapon. B activates the Turbo Boost jump. Select cycles weapons during a drive. Start pauses and resumes. At Machine Check, Select highlights an option and A confirms it; Start sends you onto the road.

Knight Rider for the European NES puts you behind KITT's dashboard rather than beside the car. Traffic, bends, and hostile vehicles compete for your attention as you try to reach each destination. Mission mode adds armed pursuit and pre-drive equipment choices, while Drive mode removes enemy attacks for a quieter run. Keeping the car moving matters as much as firing accurately: collisions waste momentum, and the cockpit tracks fuel, protection, and time. Switching weapons is useful only when the chosen weapon has ammunition.
