How to Play MotoGP

Quick start

Choose Tournament, take one of the three riders available at the start, and enter the first league. Your first goal is to finish fourth or better so the next league opens. Do not hold A before the starting signal or the rear tire will spin without launching cleanly. Brake before bends instead of holding the throttle through them. When the turbo meter at lower left is full, use Down+A on a straight for a wheelie boost; once released, the meter must fill completely before another boost, so save it for a useful straight.

Controls

D-Pad Left/Right steers. A accelerates and B brakes. L shifts down and R shifts up. With a full turbo meter, hold Down on the D-Pad together with A to wheelie and boost. In menus, use the D-Pad to highlight, A to confirm, and B to go back. START pauses a race. No dedicated SELECT function was confirmed in the accessible GBA sources.
