How to Play Riviera: The Promised Land
Quick start
Read the prologue from NEW GAME and start Chapter 1 "Heaven's Gate". The hellhound that appears in "Angel's Tombstone" has a weakness to fire, so Leda's attacks will be the main focus. MOVE with the direction trigger on the screen, switch to QUEST with A, and explore with direction input. Red exploration consumes 1 TP, which is replenished with battle results. When you can use training, try new items, acquire skills and improve abilities without consuming durability, and the main battle will be easier.
Controls
Cross button: MOVE/QUEST direction trigger, battle/menu selection. A: Text forwarding, decision, switch to QUEST. B: Cancel/Return to MOVE. R: Conversation skip, additional item effects and action details. SELECT: Field/Battle Menu. START: Field map/battle status. Action triggers follow the screen direction, A, and B display.
