How to Play Scooby-Doo!
Quick start
Press START, begin Chapter One: Bad for Business, and choose Scooby or Shaggy as the opening character. Explore Spooky Island's isometric rooms, speak to everyone and follow the narrator's hints; missions often require an item, token or a character with the right skill. Scooby and Shaggy are the fastest early explorers, while later Velma solves puzzles, Fred moves or fights through obstacles and Daphne uses karate. Collect food before your energy empties and gather tokens from the floor and mini-games, because characters may demand them for information. The game saves automatically at key story points.
Controls
D-pad moves the active Mystery Inc. member and navigates menus. A jumps and confirms. B bites or performs the active character's attack/action. R makes Scooby sniff/search and is used for the current character's special search ability; L has no general action assigned in the documented base layout. START pauses. Mini-games such as Unlock the Chest, Repair the Pipes, Lights Out and Musical Mayhem display their own directional/button pattern on screen.
