How to Play Shrek 2: Beg for Mercy!
Quick start
Start the story with Scroll 1, Job Hunt, then enter Into the Forest. Puss in Boots opens the first level: run right, take the first two coins, double jump over the two rows of spikes, climb onto the stone height and eliminate the pumpkin. Continue through the overpass using walls, vines, keys and doors. Progress is normally saved after each level completed; the 40 coins of each level of a chapter unlock its bonus mini-game.
Controls
Directional cross: movement. A jumps, then A a second time in the air triggers the Cat's double jump. B attacks: sword for the Cat, blows and manipulation of objects for Shrek, kick for the Donkey. With the Cat, L charms and briefly stuns certain enemies, R parries attacks, and Down+B in the air performs a diving sword strike. START pauses. The Cat can also cling to walls, ceilings, vines and rails provided by the level.
