How to Play SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom
Quick start
Press START, start a game, then choose Chapter 1 and Level 1-1, When Robots Attack. This GBA version is a 2D platform and puzzle game: explore the entire level, collect the three golden spatulas and take the portal they unlock. Use the bubbles against the robots, hold A after a jump to hover over the large holes and crawl through the low passages. The 20 crab patties in a normal level are optional, but collecting the whole thing unlocks its bonus level.
Controls
On foot, use Left/Right on the directional cross to move forward. Top is for looking at or using a door or ladder; Down allows you to crouch, then Down with Left/Right to crawl. A blows up Bob; hold A after jumping to glide. B blows a bubble or talks to friends when the action is proposed. START pauses the game. Near Mystery, press Down to go up: A jumps and, held, allows you to glide, B bites or spits out a captured enemy, and R allows you to go down. The unicycle and the invisible boat move forward alone; A is for jumping and can be held to stay in the air longer.
