How to Play SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, Pants!
Quick start
From the title screen, press START, start a new game and choose Easy or Normal. Easy is better for getting to know each other; On normal, the figures can withstand significantly fewer hits. After Gill reports on the disappearance of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, enter Mermalair 1-1 and choose SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy or Squidward. In the first side-scrolling level you have to find the two heroes and practice jumping, attacking and changing figures; At first there are jellyfish and shells in your way. Switch with L if another character fits better: SpongeBob can slow his fall, Patrick can destroy blocks with a stomp attack, Sandy can run over spikes, and Squidward can double jump. Collect safely reachable gold stars; later you use it to buy extra lives and bonus mini-games in Gill's trailer.
Controls
D-pad: move around the levels and use menus. A: jump or confirm. B: attack or cancel. L: switch between the four characters during a level. R: perform the current character's special action. START: pause and open the pause menu. SELECT: switch between menu screens if available. Driving, cooking, chase and rhythm mini-games can change occupancy; Please note the information displayed there. The first rhythm fight against Man Ray can require D-pad directions, L, R, A or B - press the indicated input at the right moment.
