How to Play The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie
Quick start
Press START at the title screen, choose New Game with the Control Pad, press START to confirm and select a difficulty. The journey to Shell City starts in Bikini Bottom at 1-1, Management Material: guide SpongeBob and Patrick through the timed platform level while learning to jump, run, stomp, glide and use their team powers. Your wider goal is to recover King Neptune's crown and clear Mr Krabs. Collect Golden Clams on safe routes for purchases at Mindy's Place, and check the bucket counter before spending Sponge Soak on a crowded group of enemies. Write down the picture password shown after a level; SELECT on the map displays the current password again.
Controls
Menus: Control Pad chooses an option, START selects it and B returns. Platform levels: Control Pad moves SpongeBob and Patrick; hold Down plus Left or Right to crawl. A jumps. Hold B to run. R uses Power Charge. L uses Sponge Soak when a bucket is available. In the air, press Down after A to stomp; press A again after jumping to use Parachute Shorts and glide. START pauses. SELECT on the map displays the current password. Patty Wagon sections: Control Pad moves the vehicle and A jumps.
