How to Play The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie
Quick start
On the title screen, press START, choose New Game with the directional cross, validate with START then select the difficulty. The journey to Shell City begins in Bikini Bottom, on level 1-1 Management Material: Advance Bob and Patrick through this timed platforming course, learning to jump, run, smash enemies, glide, and use their team powers. The goal of the adventure is to find King Neptune's crown and exonerate Mr. Krabs. Collect the Golden Clams available risk-free for purchases at Mindy; keep an eye on the number of buckets before spending Sponge Soak against a group of enemies. Note the picture password given after a level; SELECT displays it again on the map.
Controls
Menus: the directional cross chooses an option, START validates and B goes back. Platform levels: the directional cross moves Bob and Patrick; hold Down with Left or Right to crawl. A blows up. Hold B to run. R triggers Power Charge. L uses Sponge Soak if you have a bucket. While in the air, press Down after A to smash the ground; press A a second time after jumping to glide with Parachute Shorts. START pauses. SELECT displays the current password on the card. Patty Wagon sequences: the directional cross moves the vehicle and A makes it jump.
