From the main menu, choose Career Mode, select a skater, then choose Hangar, Meacham Field, TX on the Level Select screen. A good first target is the Hangar's 10,000-point High Score goal. Hold B to crouch and build speed, release B to ollie, then add a direction plus L for a flip or a direction plus R for a grab; straighten the board before landing. Continue a trick into a manual with Up then Down, but ollie out before the balance marker reaches an edge. Goals and cash unlock later parks and buy stat upgrades and boards. To practise without a clock, start in Free Skate; Career and Single Session runs use a two-minute limit.

Menus: move the highlight with the Control Pad; A or START confirms, and B goes back from Level Select. Skating: movement is automatically forwards. Left/Right turns and balances grinds; Up leans forwards, exits a pool, and balances a manual; Down brakes, leans back, and balances a manual. Hold B to crouch and accelerate, then release it to ollie; tap Up then release B for a No Comply, or tap Up twice then release B for a Boneless. Up then Down starts a manual, while Down then Up starts a nose manual. In the air, direction+L performs a flip trick and direction+R a grab; tap L on the ground to toggle nollie stance and tap R to switch stance. A grinds near a rail or edge, direction+A changes the grind, and jumping then holding A beside a wall performs a wallride. Hold B when landing a large drop to avoid bailing; rapidly press controls to recover after a fall. START pauses and SELECT is unused. Options > Control Setup can reassign A, B, L, and R.
