How to Play Top Gear GT Championship
Quick start
Press START, select CHAMPIONSHIP, then NEW GAME and enter your name. Choose a GT300 team and car with Left/Right, and select AT for automatic gears or MT for manual shifting. At the race menu, begin with FREE RUN to learn the circuit, complete the one-lap QUALIFY session for your grid position, then choose RACE for the three-lap points event; CAR SETUP is available before racing. Each season comprises six races and the driver with the most points becomes champion. Read the course radar before blind bends, use a firm tap of B to slide the car into tighter corners, and revise steering, braking, tyres, aerodynamics or gear ratio if the setup does not suit the track. A cleared season can be saved in one of three slots, and CONTINUE loads that Championship record.
Controls
Left/Right on the D-Pad steers, and the D-Pad moves through menus. A accelerates and confirms; B brakes and cancels. With manual transmission, L shifts down and R shifts up, while automatic transmission handles gears for you. START leaves the title screen and pauses a race. SELECT has no function.
