How to Play Top Gear GT Championship
Quick start
Press START on the title, select CHAMPIONSHIP → NEW GAME and register the name. Select a GT300 class team/vehicle on the left or right side, and select AT if you are a beginner, or MT if you are using manual shifting. At first, you memorize the course with FREE RUN, decide your starting position with 1 lap of QUALIFY, and then take on the 3-lap main race with RACE. One season involves a total of 6 races on 6 real courses, where you compete for total points based on your ranking. Check the course map on the screen early, press B hard to change direction at tight corners, and if it is difficult to turn, use CAR SETUP to adjust the steering, brakes, tires, aerodynamics, and gear ratio. If you achieve good results in GT300, you can aim for the top GT500 works class. After the season ends, the data will be saved in the 3 SAVE DATA slots, and the rest will be loaded from CONTINUE.
Controls
Use the left and right arrow keys to operate the steering wheel, and use the arrow keys to select items in the menu. A is accelerator/decision, B is brake/cancel. When selecting MT, press L to downshift, R to upshift, and automatic transmission will result in automatic gear shifting. START starts with the title and pauses during the race. SELECT is not used.
