How to Play Top Gear GT Championship
Quick start
Press START, choose CHAMPIONSHIP, then NEW GAME and register your name. Pick a GT300 team/car with Left/Right and choose AT if you want automatic shifting or MT for manual gears. The race menu offers FREE RUN, QUALIFY, RACE and CAR SETUP. Start with FREE RUN to learn the first circuit, then complete the one-lap QUALIFY session to set your grid position and choose RACE for the three-lap points event. A season contains six races; points go to the top six, and the highest season total wins. Use the course radar to anticipate bends, brake firmly with B to initiate a controllable slide, and adjust steering, brakes, tires, aerodynamics or gear ratio in CAR SETUP if the car pushes wide. After clearing a season, save to one of the three file slots; CONTINUE resumes that Championship file.
Controls
Use Left/Right on the D-Pad to steer and the D-Pad to highlight menu items. A accelerates and confirms a selection. B brakes and cancels a menu command. With manual transmission selected, L shifts down and R shifts up; the shoulder buttons are not needed for automatic transmission. START begins from the title and pauses during a race. SELECT is unused.
