How to Play Tetris Worlds
Quick start
Press START on the title screen, select MARATHON and TETRIS from the main menu, and set LEVEL to 1 to start. The first goal is to line up the horizontal lines without any gaps and erase 5 lines. For beginners, it will be more stable if you stack them flat with only one row left or right open, leave the I type in the R HOLD, and aim to erase 4 lines. If you want to try different rules, you can also choose STICKY, FUSION, HOT-LINE, SQUARE, and CASCADE from MARATHON.
Controls
Use the left and right arrow keys to move Tetrimino, press down for a soft drop, and press up for a hard drop. Press A to rotate counterclockwise, press B to rotate clockwise, and press R to hold the falling piece. Open the pause menu with START. In the menu, use the four-way controller to select an item/start LEVEL, press A to confirm, and press B to return. In hidden POPULAR TETRIS, L/R changes to left/right movement.
