How to Play The Sims 2
Quick start
Choose Create a Sim, enter their name, then adjust their appearance, clothing, and aspiration. After the introduction, the first objective asks you to go up and explore Zarbville. Go out, talk to Dusty Hogg and chain friendly conversation actions until you fill the diamond. Then follow the road north to the pawnshop and buy a bed or shower first, then return when the need to go to the toilet appears. Monitor the needs and the green gauge: neglecting a need lowers the audience of the show. Check the goals regularly with START.
Controls
Directional cross: move the Sim and the cursor. A: validate, interact, use the selected tool or launch a conversation action. B: cancel/return; maintain B while moving to run. R: change tool. L/R: rotate a piece of furniture to place and navigate the status tabs. START: open the status screen (objectives, characters, items and skills). SELECT: open pause, with map, options, save and abort.
